:: IndependentsDay online event

INDEPENDENTS DAY is a worldwide project celebrating independent content and design on the web. It's supported by an informal network of designers, artists, writers, editors, developers, and producers who create content and design to enrich the web.

Join us in our first online event celebrating independent content and design from Toledo to Timbuktu.

The Future Independsent Web: Visions Of What's To Come! Event launched on Nov 12.01 at 7 am ET (@500 Internet Time) rotating essays every 6 hours at INDEPENDENTS DAY.

HVCT model exploration was made possible through ID's project, which is the main objective of afterchaos. These members contributed:

:: Parker + Dawn: frontend design

:: Wesley + Jonathan : backend development

:: Insights

Highlights: time constraints and geographical distances were overcome by a sheer amount of determination to get the project delivered.

The use of *internet time* was a premiere and inherently part of what the *future* holds when launching an international project.

Though some frictions were encountered - communication wise - everyone contributed the best they could do and the *best* idea or solutions were endorsed diligently. Creativity, grace under pressure and respect towards members never failed.

Things to work out: though favoring an horizontal model - the lack of prior *responsibility* assignment was thought to be a hindrance. Chaotic and sometimes contradicting information exchanges added some stress.

:: Conclusion

The project was a success because delivered in time. There is a true bonding between team members since efforts were put in common towards the goal. The desire to organize around competence is the strongest expectation in view of future projects.
